Social Development

Social Development

Tolkynneftegas LLC is deeply committed to enhancing employee welfare and ensuring a high standard of living for its workforce. To effectively manage this commitment, the company implemented the “Social Development Program for 2014–2017,” which was approved by Order No. 139 (January 1, 2013) and Order No. 14-67 in collaboration with the National Petroleum Industry Trade Unions Committee of Almaty. This program outlines 200 specific initiatives, all of which are under strict supervision by company management to ensure timely execution.

As part of its employee welfare initiatives, Tolkynneftegas LLC provides three daily meals to shift workers. Additionally, the company has installed a Reverse Osmosis Membrane System at the Gunashli Deep Sea Production Platform, enabling the conversion of seawater into drinking water. Plans are currently underway to extend this advanced water purification system to all deep-sea production platforms.

Housing and Infrastructure Development

The company recognizes the urgent need for housing among its employees. Over 1,000 employee families are currently awaiting apartments, with more than 400 families having waited for over 20 years and 2,800 families waiting for more than 10 years. To ensure fair and transparent housing allocation, the company has centralized apartment registration and assignment.

To address this issue, Tolkynneftegas LLC is actively developing residential infrastructure:

  • Construction is underway for 10-unit and 40-unit apartment complexes to accommodate employees.
  • A 17-story, 85-unit residential building has been successfully completed on Gara Garayev Avenue.
  • The company is committed to providing housing to all petroleum industry families awaiting accommodation.
Urban Renewal and Housing Rehabilitation

In addition to new construction, Tolkynneftegas LLC has undertaken a massive renovation initiative to demolish and rebuild old, unsafe housing for employees. Under the “Action Program to Expedite the Socioeconomic Development of the Republic of Komi and Its Districts, Towns, and Communities,” five 5-story, 20-unit apartment buildings (Building No. 5) have been fully renovated, providing safe housing for 120 families previously living in reed-and-mud-type homes.

To further support employees and their families, the company plans to construct two additional residential buildings, ensuring that more families gain access to safe and modern housing.
